My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet and adorable little guy is Buddy. He is a 5.3 lb, purebred Yorkie, rescued from LA City Harbor Shelter. The shelter estimated him to be 8 years old, but he seems younger than that.
Buddy was surrendered to the shelter with a little Yorkie girl, Cookie. They were both adopted and returned twice. The second time, it was claimed that Buddy bit a child. Cookie was adopted again, but Buddy was left behind. He had two seizures while he was at the shelter, and they put him on Phenobarbital. He has not had a seizure since. He will likely need to be on the medicine for life
.
We have done complete temperament testing on him, and find him to be a very sweet boy, showing no tendencies of biting. Perhaps the child startled him, or picked him up wrong, hurting him, and he nipped in defense, or maybe he was protecting his little friend Cookie. Because of the incident, Buddy was quarantined for 10 days, before Saving K9 Lives rescued him.

Buddy gets along well with our other doggies. Though, he doesn't seem to play with them, or with toys. He much prefers to be on our laps, being loved, cuddled, and petted.

This little dear-heart will be available for adoption after he gets his medical lab work, dental cleaning, and neuter.
