TONY's Story...
Say hello to the stunning, sweet Tony!. He came to the shelter as a stray with ID on 04/01 and when his family was contacted they did not come for him. Tony is a little shy in the shelter due to all of the noise of the other dogs barking. His family taught him to sit and stay and he is very gentle on a leash making him the perfect partner for long runs/walks. Tony is 2 years old and weighs 66 pounds. He is current on vaccines, neutered, and micro-chipped. He will be tested for heart worms when adopted. He is waiting to meet his new family in run 90 and his ID# is 594941.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TONY, a Marietta Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
