Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pippin just turned 12 in December and is such a sweet boy. He loves all of his attention, is a cuddle bug, and gets along great with other pups and would do just fine with kitties and has excellent house manners and is house trained. Pippin needs a home that LOVES the senior pups. His sable and white coat is growing in so very nicely after having to be shaved. Pippin does have arthritis in his hind legs and needs to continue on his joint supplements daily to keep him active and mobile. Pippin would do best in a home with no steps and easy access in and out of the home to go potty. He loves to explore the backyard and sun himself on the lawn and is very content to sleep by your side and has a charming personality. Pippin will not be a long walker and needs to have a lower energy home that likes to relax and snuggle and spend time out in the backyard. Pippin cannot jump up into the car or truck for vet visits, so his new home will need to be able to pick him up when needed. He does just fine being picked up, and he weighs 33 pounds. He does love to wander and explore, so a fenced in yard will be needed. Pippin is being fostered in the New Castle, Pa area (north of Pittsburgh). We are currently taking adoption applications for Pippin and you can download an application and find out more about our sheltie rescue organization at: pasheltierescue.org
