Facts about Richie

  • Breed: Australian Shepherd/Beagle Mix
  • Color: White - With Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Richie is a 1-2 year old mixed breed dog, a good old fashioned Heinz 57 pup with some stunning baby blues. Richie is a busy guy who loves to be active - play, run, hike, and walk as long as he is with his people. While he loves a good play session he also likes attention and will seek you out for some good old fashioned snuggles.

Richie is a medium size dog weighing in at roughly 35lbs. He has striking eyes and coloring that get him a lot of attention. He is very smart and eager to learn and is friendly with everyone he meets as long as they don't reach for him. Richie has some perimeter issues and needs a home that understands that behavior.

Richie loves other dogs but can play rough so he would need a home where he can be an only dog or with a dog that is mild mannered.

He is looking for a family that understands perimeter guarding issues and is willing to work with him, has no children, a fully fenced yard, but are active and will provide daily exercise. Another dog would be great but is not required.

No cats.

Richie is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and micro-chipped. If you are interested in meeting Richie please fill out an application!

Adoption fee is $425.

About Forever Home Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs visit our vet for a health screening, are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.

Interested? Send us an email at and we'll send you a foster application. It's lots of fun and you will meet lots of dogs and other people who love dogs.
