Bodhi's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Bodhi's Story...
Bodhi came to me under special circumstances. One of my coworker's friends could not take care of him after moving in with her. I offered to take him in as a temporary situation. However, based on where I live and my lifestyle, I can no longer care for Bodhi. What I know about his past, is that he was taken away from his original owner, mistreated and emaciated, then returned to his owner many months later. He was never properly socialized with humans or other dogs or taught how to walk on a leash. Outside, he's a little skittish, which causes him to be unpredictability reactive. He needs a strong and diligent leader than can correct this behavior. At home, he's so incredibly sweet. He lays on the couch with me, snuggles in bed at night, and always has a wagging tail. He's not destructive when he has proper exercise and toys to play with. He does well in the crate for about 4-6 hours before he needs to go on a walk. He's not food aggressive from what I can tell, but he surely is food motivated! He looking for his forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bodhi, a Philadelphia American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
