My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Danny is a 2 to 3 year old German shepherd dog. He came into a shelter as a stray so we have no background on him.

**If you are looking for a guard dog, please do not apply for Danny. This is a companion animal looking for a family.**

What we can tell you about Danny is that he is an extremely nice shepherd with a great temperament. He came to us in an emaciated state and we are gradually putting weight on him. He currently weighs about 60 pounds, may top out at about 70 pounds.

He appears to be housetrained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. Also, he is now crate trained. Danny knows his basic obedience, but would really shine if this some type of learning were continued.

Danny loves people and would probably be fine with older children. He's great with other dogs and takes a middle of the pack position in his foster home. Not dominant, not submissive. We do not know how Danny is with cats.

One area we are working on with Danny...he is a counter surfer in the kitchen. Cannot be trusted alone with food on the counters. He's getting better, but his new family will need to know this.

Danny's adoption fee is $225. This includes neuter, vaccinations, negative heartworm test, collar and ID tag.
