Ranger is a 3-year-old boy who is in need of a new home. This handsome guy is a standard 15 inches tall and a slender 27 pounds.

Ranger is housebroken and crate trained. He learned to use the dog door quickly and loves the freedom it provides in his effort to keep the back yard a squirrel free zone! He can get noisy when he on the trail of a fresh scent, but is generally a quiet boy.

Ranger interacts well with his pack of foster siblings. He had been an only dog for the last 3 years, but quickly remembered his pack manners. He plays chase and is quite good at wrestling. He is very tolerant of having his ears chewed on by a younger foster brother, so should do well with any canine companion.

Ranger’s biggest problem is that he becomes overly excited about food. He is learning to wait his turn and be “Easy” when taking a treat, but will still revert back to acting like a snapping turtle at times. He had problems in his last home with kids and food, because of this behavior. Ranger needs someone who is experienced with dogs and can continue working on behavior modification.

Ranger is a sweet and loving boy who enjoys a good cuddle next to you. He is never demanding of your attention and will go curl up on a chair or dog bed, if you are occupied. Your heart will melt when he looks at you with those big, sad eyes that beg you to love him! This boy deserves a second chance!
