Leia's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Leia's Story...
Leia is a full breed boxer and was originally obtained from a breeder. Unfortunately, her original owners couldn't keep her because of restrictions with the new place they had to move into & we took her in. She is a year old (birthday is in December 2016), is spayed, house trained, up to date on all shots, & microchipped. We have an older dog in the house, but she & Leia cannot get a long well, so unfortunately, we cannot keep her.

She knows some sign language commands like No, Sit, Shake/Paw, & hugs (mostly just when she gets a treat for the last 3 commands). Leia LOVES to play, and REALLY REALLY loves peanut butter!! She also loves paper products that come from trash cans, She gets jealous of other dogs living in the house, so she would probably do best being the only dog in the home. We're really sad to have to give her up, but unfortunately, we cannot keep her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leia, a Palmdale Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Palmdale, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Palmdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palmdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palmdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palmdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
