Brutus is a one year old brown and black tiger male cat. One of our staff member’s young daughter went out one morning, and discovered Brutus rummaging through the trash. She called to him, and this big boy bounded right over. He waited patiently on the porch while she went to get him some food. Brutus was very, very hungry and underweight. You can see Brutus’ relief to be inside and safe, with ample food and warmth. Brutus loved his towel, and he loved to curl up with it wrapped around him. Now that he’s been introduced to a cat bed, he quickly abandoned the towel for cushy comfort of the bed! He’s the most easy-going cat we’ve seen for some time. Brutus is talkative, playful, and very affectionate. And he’s cute! Brutus sports chunky cheeks, big paws, and beautiful eyes. If you’re looking for an easy-going, easy to please companion, come meet this big boy!
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon â hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
