Ruby is a sweet, gentle, calm, trusting and fun girl. She's good on a leash and good with other dogs. She was found as a stray whose owner never came for her - after having been hit by a car. As a result she has a bit of healed road rash on her rear hip and one of her ankles is turned slightly, but she can walk and run fine. Her activity level should be normal. She was shy when she first arrived, but has come around amazingly well in just a few days and is very social, she loves people!
Ruby has also tested heart worm-positive, is getting the highly-effective slow treatment and is expected to have a good recovery. She will be going home with treatments for her condition. Ruby had a rough patch in her life, but you'd never know it with her personality. She will make a wonderful companion and will no doubt give her adoptive family a lot of love in return for a new "leash" on life!
