Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are interested in meeting Jackson, please fill out an adoption application. We don't set up meetings without first receiving an application. http://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms
Jackson is a giant slobbery love of a dog and he will soon be at the Medfield Animal Shelter. We know he has lived with another dog, but we don't know the size or the breed so we will do some dog testing when he comes into our care on April 10th. He is 5 years old and has had all his vet care. He loves car rides and is used to daily walks. He barks when strangers come to the house, the doorbell rings or someone knocks on the door. He is not good for the vet and will need to be muzzled. He is heavier than he should be and should have an owner committed to slimming him down since it is better for the giant dogs to keep them lean. He knows basic commands such as Sit, Down and Come. He is not good with cats and has never lived with very young kids but does love bigger kids. His adoption fee is $350.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
