My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freddy (formerly known as Dudley) is a 3 yr old long-haired Dachshund with a silky coat some would call red — but is really a gorgeous combination of gold, copper, and mahogany. He was surrendered to us when his owner died. He is a super friendly and social dog who loves to be with his people. Freddy enjoys belly rubs, cuddling, and going for walks outside. He gets along great with other dogs and would probably tolerate cats. He is very gentle and sweet natured. He is being fostered with a teen but we don't know his history with younger kids so we recommend a home with kids 8+.
Freddy is working on his house training and is improving each day. He does not like to be left alone in his crate, but sleeps quietly in his crate now that it's in the bedroom with his humans. He is a very easy dog to live with. He is ready for all the love of a forever family, and will be a very loving dog in return. He is a big boy for a dachshund weighing about 20 lbs. Freddy is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350.
