Paco's Info...

Paco's Story...
Paco was surrendered to a high kill shelter with his buddy, Tyson. These two young boys were dealt a sad hand. They had been adopted to become services animals for a young person who needed their love and support. Part way through their training, their little buddy passed away. While grieving for the person they loved most, the landlord mandated their removal.....

At 11 months, Paco is a really big boy. He weighs around 70 pounds! He is very laid back and well behaved. He loves children and people, and plays very well with other dogs. We were told he does well with cats, but we have not seen him when a cat is around. Paco also loves to swim! In fact, he races to the pond to swim, making it hard to get a good picture since he is always wet! His foster mom says he is a really silly, goofy boy! Despite his big size, Paco can easily clear a 4 foot fence, so adopters should keep this in mind!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paco, a Naugatuck St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Naugatuck, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Naugatuck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naugatuck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naugatuck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naugatuck paves the way for another one to be saved.
