Sol's Story...
Hello my name is Sol. I am a very playful pup who was found with my sibling Mufin on a dead end street in Puerto Rico where I was in rough shape from being on our own. We were found with our Mom and the street was a busy street so we were in danger of being hit by a car. I am an independent girl but I also crave attention and love. I got along well with my foster Mom's pup Luns, a 5 month old Schnauzer/ Chihuahua mix and I get along well with just about anybody, either dog or person. I love to play outside as well. If you have the time and patience for an active little pup please stop on by and see if we are a good match.

Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! www.capeannanimalaid.org 978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sol, a Gloucester Pug puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Pug puppy from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
