Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. We are a non-profit rescue based in Mississippi and all of our dogs are fostered in Mississippi until adoption. We have our dogs listed in Maine because we send our adopted dogs to Maine every other week via Pet Express Transport Services. Our adoption fee is $400 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing (if age appropriate), a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.
Pokey is a spunky little pup who would love to join your family! He loves to cuddle after playing and is approximately 3 months old. Pokey belongs to a litter whose mom was abandoned heavily pregnant at a local church. Although she was desperate for food she wouldn't leave the church because she was so certain her owners would come back for her. Luckily a sweet lady took her home and took care of her while she had her puppies. The puppies are all weaned and ready to find homes of their own. They are being fostered with other dogs and cats and are very well socialized. Because we have only one parent breed is simply a guess based on looks. We cannot guarantee his breed or what his adult size will be.
Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility and are loved members of their foster family until adoption.
