Meet Scarlett! She is a very sweet 5-year-old pittie. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots. Scarlett had a very rough start in life which left her terrified of everything and everyone. She has learned that people will no longer hurt her and that maybe the world isn’t so scary. She is still cautious around new people (especially men), but when given the chance to warm up she is very sweet and playful. She is a quiet dog, but gets rowdy when playing so a home with dog savvy kids 10+ would be best. She makes an excellent running partner as she keeps up a nice pace. An adopter that runs or hikes would be perfect. Although she is very athletic, she loves just sleeping on the couch when there’s some down time. She was out to foster for about a month to decompress and is ready for her forever home. She has excelled with her training and now knows “sit”, “down”, “heel”, “place”, and is also crate trained. Unfortunately, Scarlett is not a candidate for a home with cats or other small critters. She could, however, be placed in a home with another dog her size (preferably a male) with a proper introduction. So, if you’re searching for a sweet, athletic, smart, pup with a goofball personality, look no further!
