Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lexi is one amazing girl! Although only about 3 years old, this wonderful girl has known more than her share of pain and suffering. We at BAARK Dog Rescue have worked with her since May of this year, to put her back together again!! She is now all set to move along, to her forever home!
Before Lexi came to us, she had been sitting at a rural animal control facility for several months, doomed for euthanasia if no one came to save her! On the day she was scheduled to be destroyed, BAARK came to her rescue and has been working with her since!
Over the last six months, Lexi has evolved from a broken-down dog, to a truly happy, playful, affectionate, and fun-loving pup, ready to make up for the time she lost due to the injuries she had incurred in her prior life. Lexi is now waiting for her forever home and we are looking for a perfect family worthy of this sweet, adorable girl who has known so much pain and suffering in her young life.
Lexi weighs about 65 lbs. She is very affectionate and fairly active! She LOVES people, other dogs, and does very well with children too! Some of Lexi’s favorite past times are being petted (and massaged!) by her people, cuddling, and playing. She needs plenty of exercise to help rebuild and balance her muscle structure.
An ideal family for Lexi is one who is fully committed to her care and her happiness. She needs, and will really enjoy, a household which will take her for regular walks, ensuring she gets plenty of exercise. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her as well and she might enjoy a canine playmate too! Obedience training will help Lexi bond with her new family, improve her doggie manners, and help her blossom into a perfect girl.
Lexi is a very special girl to our volunteers at BAARK, and we want nothing but the best for her. If that’s you, please contact us at BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or call 847-852-0895.
Lexi is spayed, up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative, and microchipped for permanent identification.
