Ziggy's Story...
Knock, knock. Who's there? Tail. Tail who? Tail all your friends Ziggy is at Family Dogs and she is looking for a new home! Sure, I can be an insecure girl, but I'm still quite the jokester, a real goof ball and a bit mischievous at times - that's where my crate training comes in handy! I have a good start on my housebreaking too but still have a lot to learn about impulse control. An active lifestyle where I am getting plenty of attention and love is just what I need! I am great with other dogs, I really like to play with them and although I have lived with cats before it turns out they don't quite appreciate my rough play style. I enjoy older children 10+ too, as long as they are sturdy at playtime, respectful all the time and know how to help me stay calm when it's time to chill. I am a smart kid, and very eager to please. I am just a wonderful young lady with loads of potential- no joke.
18 months old-50lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes spay, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Husky for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Husky dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Husky breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
