My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Are you looking for a happy little guy who's got pizzazz? Well, you've found me! My name is DUSTY, and I'm a cute and cheerful Chihuahua mix who's about three years old. The staff and volunteers all agree that I'm a joy to be around; I'm the Class Clown of the shelter and I live to entertain. I enjoy snuggling, but I also enjoy a nice walk or chasing after toys (especially squeaky ones) in the play yard. I'm a dog who'll be absolutely devoted to my owner, so you'll need to understand that I'll want you all to myself. I may not want to share your attention with other dogs or other people, so I'll need to be the only dog in an adult home. The staff is pretty sure that I've been house trained, but be sure to give me lots of praise when I do my business in the right place when I get to my new home. I sure hope you'll come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can go out to the play yard together and get acquainted. I sometimes bark at strangers from my kennel, so you'll want to see the real me out in the play yard.
