My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a very sweet boy. He knows his command to sit and he would really like a new home very soon with a soft bed and peace and quiet. Bear seems to be really scared right now of his new surroundings, the shelter can be a very noisy and different place. Hopefully with his new loving home the fear in his eyes will be gone right away. He more than likely was walked with a harness at his previous home, because he does not like the leash. This handsome fellow will surely do so much better in his new home. Bear is about 5 years old and 55 lbs. He is current on his vaccines and neutered. Bear will be microchipped when adopted. Bear was brought to the shelter as a stray on 4/7/2017 and now available for adoption. His ID at the shelter is 595097 and he is in run 57. His run number could change, so please make a note of his ID number and ask for assistance if you don't find him in run 57. Sadly he has tested positive for heartworms, but with treatment, he should be good as new in no time. Please speak to your veterinarian regarding treatment options.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
