My story

Beautiful Lady is a 7 years young German Shepherd. She was a heartworm positive stray rescued from a local shelter who had had a bit of a rough time before coming to Lily’s Legacy. We successfully treated her for heartworm and the Lady we know now has plenty of energy for walking, hiking and playing. When you just want to relax, she instantly switches to “cuddle mode.” She especially loves belly rubs! Lady needs to learn how to make friends one dog at a time so she’ll do best as an only dog to start. She has been going on field trips with her trainer, and is learning about the world. She has excellent manners in public. At pet stores, she’ll sniff the biscuits and toys…but not help herself. She’s very smart and a quick learner. This very loving dog is hoping for her very own person to love!
