I cannot wait to meet you!! There is nothing I want more in this world than to have a person to call my own. I dream about the days of cuddling on your lap, following you around and taking leisurely walks wherever you like. I really like my foster mom, but I’m just practicing to share all my love with YOU!
There has been a lot of confusion over my name. Is it Happy? Is it Appy? Let me clear that up for you. It’s Appy – short for apricot which describes the beautiful color of my hair. I’m not stuck on the name, though. Feel free to re-name me. I’m non-shedding so I don’t leave parts of myself around your home. Good, right? I also know there are certain things I should never leave in your home. I use the great outdoors to do my business, if you know what I mean.
I am a mellow dog who also knows how to have fun. Want to play ball? I’ll retrieve it for you. Like a game of tug-of-war? I’m your dog. Want to chill on the couch and read a good book? I’m right there with you. It can be all about you – all I want is to be with you. I love to go on walks and am very good about letting you put on my harness. I am excited when out, but I don’t pull too much. I love all the smells when I’m out and about. The world smells great, don’t you agree?
I’m a great eater and love treats! Treats are great!! I’m willing to learn all kinds of new tricks with treats. I already know how to sit and I come when you call me. I also know the word no, but it’s not my favorite. I prefer “Good Doggie”.
I prefer females, but warm up to men and older kids. Just give me time and play with me a bit. I’ll learn to love you, too. I’m not a fan of other boy dogs – I want to be the star of the party. That’s not so wrong, is it?

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption.
The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion. NorCal Poodle Rescue places dogs within northern California only.
