Suzie's Story...
Meet Suzie, an adorable, little Pitbull. She’s very compact….small but weighing in at 48 lbs. Suzie is ready to enjoy life….play, cuddle, spend time with friends both canine and humans.

Suzie came to us the end of November; in early December she gave birth to 10 puppies. She was a wonderful and caring mom, but now, it’s Suzie’s time to be the center of attention.

Suzie is believed to be just 2-3 years old. She is wonderful with people including children. She enjoys the company of dogs of her own size or larger. She enjoys chasing smaller dogs and essentially ignores cats.

Suzie would do best in a home with older children, or an all-adult home, with one or two canine companions of her size or perhaps a little larger. A fenced yard would allow Suzie to run and play to her heart’s content! Her foster mom is working with Suzie on obedience, but obedience training is strongly recommended not only to help her with her manners but also as a bonding experience with her new family.

Suzie is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on a monthly heartworm preventative, spayed and microchipped for permanent identification. With questions about Suzie or to apply to adopt her, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895 for further information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzie, a Barrington Hills Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Barrington Hills, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Barrington Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrington Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrington Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrington Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
