What is your name?
My name is Storm but my foster family calls me Stormy and I like that, too!My foster parents named me this because I found them in one of the worst Storms Northern California has seen in a long time!
How old are you?
I'm about 3 years old but I’m so little I’ll look like a puppy forever!
How much do you weigh?
I'm the perfect size at 45ish pounds!
What do you look like?
I'm a little guy with a big head and the softest face you’ve ever felt!
What do you like to eat?
I like to eat everything! My foster mom usually mixes some coconut oil, spirulina, apple cider vinegar and warm water into my breakfast kibble and just some warm water into my dinner kibble.
What kind of personality do you have?
I’m the best combo of sweet and silly, a goofball at heart ❤️
Describe your perfect day: A perfect day for me is hanging out with my humans in the garden soaking up the sun! I love car rides, too, where I am able to get some more sun and some zzzzzz's! I really just love being with people, wherever they are!!
What is your favorite toy?
My favorite toy is an antler, they keep my mouth busy but I love Kong’s and stuffies too.
Do you know any tricks?
I know my basic obedience like sit, down wait and off. I can also ‘lift’ my paw on command to untangle from the leash. I’m also learning to shake!
What scares you?
Sometimes I'm a little shy when I meet new people but I warm up fast!
Have you been around children?
Do you like them?
I love little kids! My foster parents have a little 3 year old boy that loves playing with me and walking me around the house on a leash! They also have a little baby who is really cute, I love giving him kisses all over his legs!
Do you like cats?
I don’t care for cats, I’d rather not live with any!
How do you feel about other dogs?
I'd prefer to be the only dog, I get too excited around other dogs for now!
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Sitting at home with my family or going for a fun car adventure! I love car rides!
How is your health?
I have PANOSTEITIS, but it doesn't affect the length of my life and rarely affects my day to day life! Occasionally my leg gets sore so I need a little extra rest when that happens.
Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?
I have my foster dad and mom and a foster hooman brother. I love everyone here, they all treat me so good!!
Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
I have a large outdoor kennel and a crate in the living room! If I’m not with my foster parents, I’m in one of those places, relaxing!
Where do you sleep?
In my crate!
Do you like walking on a leash?
I'm used to walking on leash, I rarely pull although I do get excited from time to time so my foster parents just have me sit to chill out. It works!
Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard?
Sometimes I bark in my outdoor kennel if I see someone has come over to the house but it’s just to say hello!
Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside)
I always go Potty outside! I do not like to Potty in the house or my crate!
Do you like playing in water?
I like to dip my toes in the water but I haven’t been too interested in swimming yet! I’m not a big fan of the hose. I’m really good during bath time, I like baths in the bath tub 😃
What do you love about your foster family?
I love the structure they give me, I really need it!
NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary).
