Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This poor girl was found by a kind family at the Houston Zoo in very poor condition. Her eyes were matted shut, she was very emaciated and missing about 80% of her fur. Her eyes and skin were infected and she was covered in fleas. She was very skittish, frightened and timid. With the care of her foster family, she has blossomed into a very affectionate and loving girl who gets along well with dogs and cats and seems to love everyone she meets. Her fur is still very short but is coming back very soft and silky and is a deep, rich red.
Rue is approximately 8 years old. She is current on vaccinations and spayed. She is heartworm positive and will begin treatment soon.
Watch for more to come on Rue as she improves.
