My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finn is an 8.5 month old mostly boston boy seeking a furever home. He was adopted as a pup but as he outgrew his older siblings he started to rule the roost. Mom had a heart of gold and from the day he arrived he became the prince, a total lap dog, given pretty much free reign. Yes he had some training but the early months left their mark and he was determined to control the pack, with two other Bostons 2/3 his size it was a true battle of wills. It was determined for all involved that he needed to come back and find a home that had the time and ability to dedicate themselves to his training and reigning in the "little king". Since returning he has spent training time and foster time with a trainer friend. He did well and spent lots of time in social play with both dogs in training classes and dogs in the trainers home. He received both human and dog correction and is learning hierarchy, SOMETHING HIS NEW FAMILY WILL NEED TO CONTINUE.

He is around 30 lbs and a total goofball. A bit confused on true play but learning, understanding corrections and getting the big picture. House trained to a doggy door but still shows an interest in chewing.

He has recently spent a couple of weeks in our director's home with a dominant Boston mill survivor female his size and a small, 6.5 lb total terrier of a spoiled Brussels Griffon that literally rules the roost. She actually intimidated him a bit but we are cautious when things escalate.

He loves people but can be a bit scared and confused changing environments, nothing a day or two won't settle. In his original home he played to rough/dominant in doggy daycare so his visits were limited.

Are you willing to dedicate yourself to helping Finn reach his true potential, training, safely socializing, exercising, loving, helping him feel safe and life the life of a dog? Finn is not for small children and we prefer an experienced dog owner with training connections. Other calm and easy natured dogs preferred, medium size a plus.
