Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Saved by the bell, this sweet girl was found a Sheriff's Deputy right before the latest tornado roughly 2 weeks ago. If you come looking to meet April, you will need to ask a staff member to see because we have her in our isolation room. She is having a rough time with us health wise unfortunately. She has several lumps and bumps on her and is showing signs of potential kennel cough. We are treating her with anti-biotics and recently had one of the lumps on her back removed and sent of for testing. Our biggest fear is that the results will come back that she has cancer. Even with the potential risk of cancer we are still hoping to find this sweet girl her forever home that she deserves. April is a hound mix that is estimated to be 3-5 years old (closer to the 5 range) and weighs roughly 40 pounds. She is heartworm negative but is Lyme/Erlichia positive. We are treating the Lyme with a round of Doxy, this will also help her skin clear up too. If you are interested in meeting April please give us a call at 757-365-6318 or email animalservices@isleofwightus.net
