Katie's Story...
Meet Katie! She is a lively five-month-old kitten who loves to run, jump and romp. You might catch Katie playing with a hair tie if her stuffed mouse isn't in view. When she's done playing with her toy, she will snuggle in your lap. Katie also loves to talk and she purrs when she eats, is near you or just playing. Katie is looking for a forever home with someone who will love her and who she can love back. Katie does well with cat-friendly dogs. She is up to date on her vaccinations and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Katie would do best as the only cat in a household. Please contact Diane at dfjorn@aol.com if you want to give this sweet girl a place in your heart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a West Caldwell Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Caldwell, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in West Caldwell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Caldwell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Caldwell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Caldwell paves the way for another one to be saved.
