My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lassie is a 3-year-old collie mix. She is extremely friendly and affectionate and gets along well with other dogs. Lassie has had a tough life, but you can't tell from her sweet attitude! She has been diagnosed with Eosinophilic Myositis, which is what caused her severe facial muscle atrophy, prolapsed 3rd eyelid and sunken eyes. Had this been treated in her former home, she would have made a full recovery. Unfortunately, due to neglect, the muscle atrophy is permanent. When Lassie came to us, her foster pulled over 70 ticks off of this poor girl. Lassie also has patches on her body and the inside of her hears presumably from fly strike. She has numerous small scars around her ankles; the vet concluded that she had been chained up and the chain cut into her legs.

Although she had a tough start at life, she has a good appetite and her foster says she seems happy and well-adjusted! Please consider giving this girl the life she deserves! She also came into our fosters with one of her puppies, Dublin.
