Rocco's Story...
Rocco is a special boy! This guy was born 12/30/16 and he is just a love bug. He had a bit of a rough start in life - he wasn't making red blood cells properly so he stayed with our vet for a while so they could figure out what was going on. Seems as though Rocco wanted some extra love! And he got it...spoiled rotten! Because of his anemia it sort of "stunted" his growth for a while but he is growing like a weed now! This sweet boy loves other dogs and plays great. He loves to snuggle up and his adorable under bite makes you want to smooch his face! Rocco is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Rocco to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Staunton Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
