My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Lori (pittie-pups@pennantsystems.com) for more information about this pet.Bella from a tragic beginning now shines brightly!

Bella is so sweet and affectionate! She loves to be held and give kisses. She is also on the small side, about 35-40 pounds. She is very open and trusting. She has scarcely ever barked, she does, though, growl if she wants attention and you’re not giving it to her. I have a dog, female, and the two of them get along so well; they play, they run, they sleep together. I have never observed any aggression from Bella.

Bella came into my home via the shelter where she had been taken due to animal cruelty. She had wounds, and was missing a lot of fur. Unbeknownst to the shelter, Bella was also pregnant when she entered the shelter; she was 7 months old. Bella gave birth to 8 puppies, at one day old I took Bella and her 7 remaining pups. Over the next 18 days each puppy died, her age and circumstances didn’t really set the ideal conditions for pregnancy, and birth.

Bella is crate trained, and mostly house broken, but prior to my house she had never lived in a home so if she’s busy playing she doesn’t always let me know that she has to go out in time. I have been able to put my hand into her food dish while eating with zero response. We are working When she meets strangers she greets them with a wagging tail and desiring pets.

Bella has been in my home for close to two months now, and she is revealing herself more and more to us. She is finally getting her puppyhood. Bella needs to go to a home where she’ll be a part of the family, in the house with her pack. She will delight you daily with her devotion, love and affection.

I have cats, she stares, and she will chase if they move, and we are working on that behavior.
