Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet cute little pocket-sized Phoebe! This white cutie is about 7-8 months old and only weighs 10 lbs. Phoebe is a little sweetheart and a lap-loving cuddler. We're guessing she's a terrier mix, possibly with a dollop of maltese or other white pooch in her DNA. While we believe Phoebe was treated well, whoever she lived with before she came to Adopt-A-Pet neglected to train her, thus whoever adopts her should be committed to training and socializing (obedience class). Don't misunderstand....she's not a problem dog, she just needs some schooling. Her foster mom thinks she's starting to make the potty outside connection, and although she's not crazy about the crate, she does settle into it quickly. Her foster mom now allows her to sleep with her... Phoebe kisses her before going to her side of the bed and curling up into a little ball. She's quiet in the house, and although she hasn't been around children consistently, she did meet a 5 year old boy and was happy to be petted by him, so we believe she'd be fine with kids who know how to "be" around dogs. At the time of this writing, Phoebe has just recovered from an upper respiratory infection so her foster mom took her out to be with some of her friends and she was all wiggles and "so glad to meet you", but she did seem to warm up to women more quickly than men. Phoebe is a little charmer and once trained, we believe she will be a wonderful pet and a ray of sweet sunshine with her new humans.
Phoebe's adoption fee of $325 includes: vet exam, heartworm test (neg.), rabies vaccination, bordetella and distemper vaccinations, routine deworming, flea control, heartworm prevention, microchip and spay.
