My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The world is a big, scary place… Even for a 65lb pup. I showed up at the shelter in November of 2016 terrified of my own shadow, but some wonderful people were letting me hang out in their office to get to know me better and realized quickly that I’m a very special boy. Now that I’m in a foster home, I’ve really come out of my shell and I’m working on learning how to dog every day. Foster mom describes me as a “blank-slate” and a “handsome goof ball.” I guess that means that I’m a silly pupper who needs to learn all my basic doggy rules. I’ll need a patient home that won’t mind working with me as I continue to learn that the world isn’t quite so terrifying. I get along with dog-savvy kitties and other dogs. I will definitely do best in a home with a dog that will get along with a housemate who doesn’t quite understand what being “rude” is, as I’m still learning what other dogs like and what they don’t. So if you’re looking for a fun-loving dog that you can teach all the fun things to, then I’m your boy!
