My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BRODY is a four-year-old brown and white Rhodesian Ridgeback male dog, and JUNO is a two-year-old red Rhodesian Ridgeback.male dog. Both boys came to us from a former breeder who opted not to continue breeding due to his advancing years, and his inability because of those advancing years to provide minimal care for the boys. Brody is the “big brother” of the two, and Juno tends to look at Brody for guidance. They are so bonded that during recent neutering of the boys they didn’t take their eyes off each other, both before and after the operations! Brody has lost a majority of his teeth due to excessive chewing on his cage, and though he does eat dry food, we provide wet food to make it easier for him. At this time, Brody has permanent hair loss on his rear quarter due to a flea allergy, and he tends to move a bit slower than Juno. Both boys presently have “concrete burns” from lying consistently on a stone floor. But now that they are no longer breeding, they are becoming the dogs they were always meant to be. Both boys are blossoming under the care of their foster family, and are so smart they were housetrained in less than a week! Brody and Juno love long walks, car rides, and family time, when they can curl up with their foster sisters and each other to take dog naps. They have mastered basic commands, and their intelligence and eagerness to please stand them in good stead for learning even more. Both Brody and Juno are very loving and affectionate, and Juno has the most beautiful light brown eyes we’ve seen in some time. If you’re looking for two beautiful and loving companions, come meet the Rhodesian boys!
