Winston's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Winston's Story...
Winston is a 2-year-old purebred yellow male. He is very nice and wants only to be with his people. Winston is on the submissive side and he is definitely okay with that. He does not mind if his people or other dogs are in charge and actually prefers that to being the boss. He is very smart and will require obedience training for socialization and basic obedience skills. He is classified as a medium energy dog and is on the shy side.

Winston came to Lucky Lab Rescue when his previous owner came down with a terminal illness. Winston was well cared for physically, but lived in a 6 x10 outdoor kennel with little interaction from humans or other animals. When he first came to his foster mom, he was very scared and was not sure what was expected of him. Now, he loves his foster mom and wants to hang around her and get yummy treats. He gets along with other dogs well, but prefers people to his foster brothers and sisters. This boy will make a great family addition.

He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and is heartworm negative. Winston is working on house manners and crate training and in no time will be a perfect boy. If you are willing to give Winston a little extra patience, time and TLC and show him that the world is a wonderful place, then this is the boy for you. Please fill out our online application and request him on the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Salem Labradoodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labradoodle for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labradoodle dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labradoodle breeders who help with Labradoodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
