Dixie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dixie's Story...
Dixie came to us after her owners could not afford her medical bills after being hit by a car and sustained some pretty serious injuries. Their options were to either euthanize her or find a rescue that was willing to take her and have her injuries treated. That was us and we are beyond happy that we did. Dixie is so loving, so sweet and so appreciative to have a second chance. Her injuries are gruesome, but she has been a happy camper through it all. She is only 8 months old and there was no way we were going to let a baby die. She's not going to be a big dog, either. She weighs in the lower 20lb range. Her wounds are healing and we hope to have her at adoption super soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Washington Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Washington, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
