Nasira's Story...
Hi there, and oh, I can be a little shy at first. Do you mind if I get a good sniff of your hand before we take our relationship any further? Let's take things slow. Once I get to scope you out a little bit, I'm very affectionate and cuddly. Some people found me and tried to find me a forever home, but they couldn't keep me so now I'm here at the RHSPCA. With all the changes in my life, I'm still adjusting to all these new things. With the love and support of a forever home, I can blossom into the beautiful black panther I was meant to be! Since I haven't been spayed yet, $50 of my adoption fee is a "down payment" towards my surgery.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nasira, a Harrisonburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
