Tito's Story...
Tito is a cute Yorkie/Schnauzer X. We think this guy is approx. 4-6 years old. Tito is a fairly quiet fellow, but happy to go for walks. He walks well on a leash and potties as soon as he was taken outside. Tito does love to be pet and will get excited when you talk to him. He does the cutest little army crawl when he is happy! Tito was a bit nervous at his physical exam and was not a fan of his teeth being looked at. He is treat motivated but did not respond to any commands. He can be quite independent and enjoys exploring his environment rather than climbing in your lap. We think Tito would do best in a home looking to adopt a terrier and has some knowledge of terrier type behaviors. We think he would do best in a home with older children. (see below)

Neutered, Vaccinated, and Microchipped.

Adoption Fee: $375 plus tax

Dogs that are tested for temperament at CMACC are generally tested with other dogs of their own size. Doggie 'meet and greets' with the resident dog are always encouraged pre-adoption. As animals are often unpredictable, cat and dog compatibility testing is just a general screening and NOT indicative of actual behavior once adopted and brought into a new home. We always recommend caution when introducing animals in the home.

Recommendation on suitability of placement with children is based on behavioral observations while at the animal shelter including energy level and body handling. WE NEVER RECOMMEND LEAVING YOUNG CHILDREN UNSUPERVISED WITH ANY PET. All behavior evaluations should be considered as a snapshot of the behavior of the animal at that particular point in time. Because both animals and children are often unpredictable, we urge you to be caution when animals and children are together. CMACC believes all dog families need to be prepared to invest time and energy into training as well as provide common sense management of their new dog.

Most of the animals that come to our shelter were previously strays. We have no background info or vaccination or health history unless we vetted them, and the info is provided above.
We do not DNA test the animals before adoption, so we do not know actual breed(s) of the animals. Ages are approximate.
