My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Binx is a happy, fun loving 25 pound 1 to 2 year old mixed breed (your guess is as good as ours!!) with a charming puppy personality. He was living outside with another dog but they were covered in fleas and a neighbor convinced the owner to surrender the dogs into rescue so they could have better lives as beloved indoor pets.

Binx is a bouncy boy with lots of youthful energy. He has plenty of natural confidence and is always very happy to make new people friends. He is an affectionate guy who enjoys lots of attention and is happiest being in the center of everything.

He will need an active family that enjoys going on plenty of walks. Binx does adore playing with toys and is pretty good at fetching. He does not seem to be possessive with people and will gladly drop his toy for you in exchange for a nice treat.

He will also sit on command for a treat (unless he has something much better to do!) and does like to please his people. He will quickly learn any new commands and routines you want to teach him.

Even though Binx is excellent at sharing his space, toys and such with very submissive female dogs, he is such a confident guy that his cheerful, boisterous enthusiasm and go for the gusto attitude could offend another confident male dog. Binx is a sweetie and does like other dogs, he just has never lived with another dog who might not want to share everything or is dominant so he does not have experience with boundaries. He can be a little unnerved by too much rude butt sniffing by other dogs.

He can also have a big brother attitude so, even though he would probably love to have a doggie friend in his new home, we would need to make sure your current dog was comfortable with his take charge, happy go lucky style. He was certainly used to being the alpha pup in his old home and making sure everyone was happy and taken care of.

Binx would probably be perfectly happy as an only dog, too as long his new family was around enough to take him on adventures and play with him a lot.

He really is a charming boy who acts like a miniature Labrador Retriever so if you are looking for a wonderful, active family dog in a smaller package to join you in your adventures and be your faithful best friend, come meet our smiling Binx.
