My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JD is just an amazing little dog that would do well in just about any situation. He loves everyone and everyone loves him! He is happy, playful and eager to please. He is a young boy approximately 1 – 1 1/2 years old and currently weighs 17 lbs.

Here is what JD’s foster family had to say:

JD is a very handsome dog. He’s got beautiful markings and his color is very unique. Also, his eyes are very beautiful and really stand out. JD is the life of the party and dogs just love him and everyone wants to play with him and be his friend. We haven’t had him tested around cats but he is awesome with all the other dogs. He is great with people of all ages including children. He is a young boy and would do really well as part of a family.

He loves to run and play and can wrestle with the other dogs all day but, he will also settle nicely and sit on your lap if you ask him to. I would say that his energy level is moderate. He would love to have another dog to play with or someone that would enjoy tossing the ball around in the yard with him.

He is a young dog so he is going to need someone that is willing to continue with his training. He is highly trainable and very eager to please. He is completely house trained in regard to his bathroom activities and has never had an accident. You would need to puppy proof your home however if you were going to leave him out on his own while you are away. Although he will bark a bit when you first put him in his crate, he is crate trained and would be fine being left for a reasonable amount of time in his crate, if his new people worked. He is generally quiet in the home. He will still need some work with his leash training but as I stated, he is very trainable. He has never tried to run away or bolt out the door. He does get a little stressed when riding in the car.

JD would be great for a family. He is fun and playful. He would also love to have a fur brother or sister. He just loves to play. He would do well with children and would be a delightful family companion.
