Bear von Jena's Story...
Bear von Jena is an 11-month-old fluffy shepherd and husky mix. Right now he is on the shy and timid side, but turns into a playful and loving boy once he feels comfortable. New to the rescue, he can get a bit scared on walks, but does better when accompanied by other dogs. In fact, canine companions seem to make everything better for Bear (like they do for us). He is housebroken, has leash manners, and knows commands like sit and lie down. Because of his need for more confidence, Bear is recommended for a patient owner with another dog. We just know that given enough time and affection, Bear will blossom into a wonderful boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear von Jena, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
