Meet the sweetest and coolest boy ever- Super Sid. Sid is is a male Pit Bull Abd border collie mix who weighs 50lbs and is five years old. Sid and his sibling Sissy were rescued at the last moment out of a high kill southern Washington shelter. Sister Sissy has been adopted, but that leaves Sid alone in boarding! He really needs a foster or adopter to get him into a real home as boarding is not really comfortable. Sid has a sweetest and most goofy personality. He loves to run and really enjoys being outside. He will make a terrific exercise partner and an amazing BFF for your family. Sid likes to play fetch with tennis balls and sticks and any game you think is fun- he will too! He needs you to help him by continuing his training, but he is super smart and food motivated- so training is a joy with Sid! Sid needs to go to a home without cats but he gets alone fine with other dogs. He walks well on a leash, and can't wait to be introduced to the beach and the mountains. Social Sid is so deserving of a great new life and in immediate need of a foster. Please consider helping handsome and affectionate Sid! You just really need to meet him! Please contact Terry at or Leah at 253-229-6044 to complete a foster or adoption. Sid is neutered, vaccinated and vaccinated. Or for questions, email Terry at Let's get this superstar Sid out of boarding and enjoying the comforts of your family and nice and cozy home! ( ps Sid says he'd love a backyard to lay in too! But he's not picky!!)

About Rain City Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of animal lovers who couldn’t “click off” email pleas any longer . We just started saying YES to dogs in need. Followed by amazing cats in need. We are not breed specific, but do love our Pits and Pit mixes who are always the last in the shelters and first in our hearts. We have connected with great trainers, super adopters and people within the rescue community to build a strong network to help these animals. But we are “DOING IT” and “LOVING IT”. Unlike others, we just jumped in and later decided to talk about it!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are in foster care in Georgia and Western Washington while we vet, spay, neuter and get to know them. We do regular transports of dogs and puppies rescued from high kill shelters in Georgia. Please go to www.raincityrescue for more info and adoption application. We look forward to meeting you and finding a perfect match for your family.

Our Adoption Process...

For our dogs, our process starts first with an adoption application. Our dog adoption application includes references, vet info, home photos and proof of home ownership or landlord contact. Our requirements vary per dog, but we look closely at activity level, yard, time away, previous pets, current pets etc.. During that time they may also have a home visit or long conversation (depending upon the situation of the dog, if warranted) with one of our professional trainers. We deliver the dogs with their quality food, treats, all vet records, training material, resources, etc. We encourage and often require additional training. We keep in communication with our fosters and adopters. We try to do the most to set everyone up to succeed. We are upfront about their commitment, training & responsibilities Adoption fees for our dogs and puppies range from $200 - $600 Great people are certainly out there for our dogs because we are having very good success. The cat adoption process is similar but not as involved. We have a shortened application process. At any time the animal can be returned to us if it doesn't work out. The adoption fees cover a portion of the expenses in spay/neuter, vet care, foster care and boarding for some dogs.
