My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morrissey is approximately a 6-7 year old American Pit Bull Terrier with a bit of Cane Corso. He's a little thin at 56lbs, but is putting on weight nicely.
Morrissey seems to be a little leery of large, bearded men, but with proper introduction he does fine. His apprehension seems to be fear-based, so patience, kindness and time to gain trust will be paramount to his successful adoption. He seems to have a penchant for tween-age boys. He must have had one as a very good friend in his past. He may not get along with cats, but has yet to be tested.
Morrissey has exemplary manners on and off-leash. His recall is 100% off-leash and he always returns with a big, happy grin! He knows the "Quiet" command and is not a nuisance barker.
Introductions to new dogs must be slow and structured. He does great with smaller and female dogs. Large, boisterous or dominating male dogs make him defensive, as do loud, sudden noises.
Morrisey willingly enters water while hiking and has been introduced to some agility training. He has a normal prey drive and obeys the "Leave It" command very well. Squirrels interest him while walking, but with commands "Leave It and Let's Go", he moves off easily.
He is crate-trained, but does well un-crated in his foster home alone and with his dogghousemates. He is not destructive nor stubborn. He's easily trained and eager to please.
Morrissey's Furever home will be quiet but active. One filled with patience and love. He is an absolute snuggle bunny!

Morrisey is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on heartworm preventative.
