Mia's Story...
PENDING ADOPTION!!--Sweet little Mia can't get enough attention. She is a licker and all she wants is to be in your lap and soak up the love and attention. She is spayed, microchipped, rabies and DHLPP vaccinated, dewormed, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, heartworm tested negative, and about 2 years old. She is great around other dogs (current foster home has two large dogs) and she has not been exposed to children or cats in the current foster home, but we think she'll get along great with anyone. Mia gets very excited and she occasionally will "piddle", but she is housetrained. If interested in adopting Mia, please email Rescue Angels at rescueangelssomd@gmail.com for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Waldorf Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
