Petey's Story...
Hi, My name is Petey, and I’m a young, active boy. At four+ months old, I weigh in at 11 lbs. and probably will top out at 13 or 14 lbs. Everyone “thinks” I’m a terrier/poodle mix. Regardless of what the mix is, I am pretty darn cute, as you can see. At my foster mom’s home, there quite a few dogs — big and small — and I love them all! In fact, if I could have another dog as a playmate in my forever home, I would be so, so happy.

I am crate trained, house-trained, I like children, and I’m learning to walk on a leash. All the standard stuff like being neutered, micro-chipped, and my current series of shots are done. Can’t tell you how I am with cats, since I have never met one….but, I’m pretty easy going, and don’t think it would be a problem.

I sure hope there’s some wonderful family out there who would love to make me a family member. My greatest asset is being a super lap warmer!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a San Diego Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
