Espresso's Story...

Espresso is a sweet little girl who came into a shelter with what appears to be her brother. She is friendly and charming and loves everyone. She needs a quiet home with no children under 6 and as few stairs as possible. Espresso has a spinal issue that sometimes makes her walk a little like a drunk. It does not cause pain, does not require treatment, and is not degenerative. But it does make her walk funny on occasion, and makes stairs and rough play hard for her. Her brother suffers from a milder form of the same issue. She is about 3 years old, all vetting done. Adoption fee $150 but if someone is interested in adopting them together we would reduce the fees.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Espresso, a Tacoma Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Tacoma, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Tacoma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tacoma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tacoma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tacoma paves the way for another one to be saved.
