Mojo is a beautiful 3-4 year old female solid black Domestic Shorthair cat.

She is a sweet, special girl. Mojo was a neighborhood cat that was chased and teased by local children before being rescued. She spent over 8 months at the rescue held in the same section with the dogs. Her current caregivers adopted her when they heard her story and met her. She is very sweet but very, very shy and adverse to noise. Unfortunately her current living situation is a very active and happy but loud environment, so she hides most of the time. She is front declawed, has lived with other cats, can't live with dogs, and likes to be petted. Because Mojo would thrive in a calm, quiet environment where she can get used to her surroundings, become confident and spend one on one time with her special and patient person, Mojo is looking for a forever home where she can really shine.

If interested, please contact Steve directly at the number provided above.

About Cat's Cradle of the Shenandoah Valley

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.

We also have a network of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. In 2009 we opened an adoption center in Harrisonburg. We do not euthanize for space.

Please visit our website at: for more information.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We show our cats at PetSmart in Springfield, VA on most 1st and 3rd Saturdays, at the PetSmart in Harrisonburg, VA on some Saturdays and some Sunday afternoons, and at the Petsmart in Waynesboro on Saturdays. We also show cats at our adoption center at 124 S Main St. in Harrisonburg 11-6 M-F, and 11-5 Sat and 11-4 Sunday.

Please visit our website: for other adoption events and hours for showings or call the adoption center at 540-433-1135.

Our Adoption Process...

Please see our website: for a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract. Adoption fees vary, but generally run around $135.

All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have an adoption center in Harrisonburg, but we also make extensive use of foster homes until adoption.

We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.

We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.
