Buddy's Story...
"Howdy! My name's BUDDY, which is the perfect name for a friendly fellow like me. I'm a two-year-old Border Collie/ Shepherd mix who's intelligent, playful, and curious. I like to go on walks (shorter walks when it's hot out), and I walk very nicely on a leash. After a walk or play time, I'll plop down and relax. I'd never say no to a good belly rub or a scratch under my neck. I excel at playing fetch with toys, and I'll bring it right back to you. I know commands, too. I'll need a fenced yard in my new home, and a super-smart dog like me will need to live in a home where somebody's home a lot. A family with a stay-home mom, or maybe a retired owner, would be great for me. I'll be a wonderful family dog, and I'll be completely devoted. I get along nicely with other dogs, and I've been house trained. Also, did you happen to notice how handsome I am? I've got one brown eye and one blue & brown eye. It makes me extra special. I also have thick and shiny black fur. Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can go out to the play yard. I'm under the impression that a big bark from my kennel will encourage someone to let me out, so don't be deterred. I really am a great dog who wants to meet you! Love, Buddy"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a El Cajon Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
