My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi folks! My name is Zion! I'm a 4 year old neutered male purebred German Shepherd. I weigh around 73 pounds, but I'm a little skinny and could stand to put on a few pounds. I'm current on my vaccines and microchipped, so I'm all ready to to move into my forever home!

I would describe my personality as happy-go-lucky, super energetic and outgoing. I'm always up for a new adventures. I would enjoy hikes, trips to the dog beach and dog parks, camping and just going anywhere you go. I would make the perfect sidekick to an active lifestyle. Could you be my perfect match?

I was found as a stray wandering the streets in South Los Angeles. I had no idea where I was going or what happened to my owners. I was picked up and brought into the pound. I waited day and night hoping my owners would come looking for me, but sadly, nobody ever showed up. I was starting to think all hope was lost, until one day my new friends at CageFree showed up to save me! They didn't have much information about my background. The only thing they knew for sure when they met me at the pound was that I'm an amazing fellow who deserves a loving forever home. So they promptly welcomed me into their facility and made it their mission to find me one.

After I got to CageFree, my caregivers found out that I have epilepsy. They took me to see a neurologist and now my condition is controlled by daily medication. I am thrilled to be able to live a happy normal life with the care I need.

I'm lucky that I got out of the pound alive because not every dog does. But my journey doesn't end here at CageFree. I'm in need of a family that will take me in and provide me with the safe and loving forever home that I've always deserved! If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and let them know you'd like to meet me!
