Opie's Story...
Don't let his old man face fool you, Opie is a friendly 7 month old puppy who is full of silly antics and fun! He appears to be a Shiba Inu/Lab mix and at 25 lbs, he is a perfect size for someone who wants a big dog but needs something smaller. Opie loves to play and would make a great hiking buddy. He gets along with other dogs of all sizes, loves kids, is crate trained, housebroken and even knows how to sit! Once he's had a chance to play he is quick to settle down for cuddle time. He is such a great pup and should only grow to around 35 lbs. Opie is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines, his adoption fee is $275.

If you are interested in adopting please submit an application at www.waggingtailsrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opie, a Henderson Shiba Inu/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Labrador Retriever for sale in Henderson, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Henderson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Henderson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Henderson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Henderson paves the way for another one to be saved.
